Meeting of Experts and ECOWAS Specialized Ministerial Technical Committee on Agriculture for "Review and adoption of the operating modalities and operationalization of the ECOWAS Regional Food Security Reserve" and on the "Food and Nutrition Crisis in the Sahel and in West Africa ", from 4 to 6 June 2017 in Ouagadougou (BURKINA FASO).

This meeting aims at: i) Sharing information on the food crisis and consulting on potential regional level support, in particular through the Regional Food Security Reserve (RRSA); ii) Share information on the progress of the implementation of the Regional Storage Strategy and in particular the SRHR; iii) Present and amend the governance instruments of the RRSA (operating bodies and regulations); iv) and to validate the draft regulation establishing and operating the Management Committee of the Regional Food Security Reserve in West Africa with a view to its introduction to the Statutory Council of Ministers of ECOWAS.
