Agriculture quite absent in African investments in Africa

The moment to invest in Africa is now. "This is the message of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in its report" Africa to Africa Investment, A First Look ".

As the title indicates, this is the Bank’s first report to address inter-African investment across all sectors. Why now? Because foreign direct investments (FDI) worldwide are declining and the international landscape is uncertain.

FDI to Africa down 3%

In 2016, global FDI fell by about 2 percent to $ 1.75 trillion, the report says. FDI to Africa fell a little more, by around 3% to $ 59 billion, with Africa’s part of global FDI falling from 3.5% in 2015 to 3.4% in 2016.
